DubMog in ChatGPT: dub a video into another language

Attach a video or audio file in ChatGPT, name the language, and get the dubbed file back with the transcript and the translation. Same DubMog account, same free allowance and dubbing time as the apps.

Find DubMog in ChatGPT's plugin directory DubMog home

Live, real-time dubbing of speech, calls and the videos you watch is in the DubMog apps and the browser extension. The ChatGPT plugin dubs files.

How to dub a video in ChatGPT with DubMog

  1. In ChatGPT, add DubMog from the plugin directory and connect your DubMog account: you sign in on a DubMog page with the Apple, Google or email account you use in the app. ChatGPT never sees your password.
  2. Attach a video or audio file, or paste a direct link to a media file you have the rights to (for example an .mp4 in your cloud storage), and say which language you want: "Dub this French lecture into English so I can listen to it."
  3. DubMog transcribes the speech, translates it line by line, voices it with a natural voice and places every line where the speaker starts, synced to the speech, with the original sound kept quietly underneath. You get the dubbed file, the transcript and the translation.

What it dubs into

English (US, UK, Australian), Spanish (Spain, Latin America), French (France, Canada), German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Mandarin (Simplified, Traditional) and Hindi.

YouTube, TikTok and other streaming sites

Links to YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo, Instagram, X and other streaming or social sites are not supported inside ChatGPT: DubMog in ChatGPT dubs media files you own or have the rights to. To dub YouTube videos live, in real time while you watch, use the DubMog Chrome or Edge extension, or the iPhone and Android apps.

Account rules

Free accounts: three Standard dubs a day, up to ten minutes per file. The Pro Cinematic voice uses the dubbing time your account already holds, one second per voiced second, and pauses cleanly when it runs out: nothing is lost, and the dub continues from the same line once the account holds time again.

Dubbing time and plans are managed in the DubMog apps and on this site, never inside ChatGPT. Dubbed files are kept for seven days, or until you ask ChatGPT to delete them.

Questions

How do I dub a video in ChatGPT with DubMog?

Add DubMog from ChatGPT's plugin directory and connect your DubMog account (the same Apple, Google or email sign-in as the app). Attach a video or audio file, or give a direct link to a media file you have the rights to, and say which language you want. DubMog returns the dubbed file with the transcript and the translation, under the same free allowance and dubbing time as the DubMog apps.

Can ChatGPT dub a YouTube video with DubMog?

Not inside ChatGPT: links to YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo and other streaming or social sites are not supported there, because DubMog in ChatGPT dubs media files you own or have the rights to. To dub YouTube videos live, in real time while you watch, use the DubMog Chrome or Edge extension, or the iPhone and Android apps.

Which languages can DubMog dub into in ChatGPT?

English (US, UK, Australian), Spanish (Spain, Latin America), French (France, Canada), German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Mandarin (Simplified, Traditional) and Hindi. Live dubbing in the DubMog apps covers 80+ languages.

Is dubbing in ChatGPT free?

Free DubMog accounts get three Standard dubs a day of up to ten minutes each. The Pro Cinematic voice uses the dubbing time your account already holds, one second per voiced second, and pauses cleanly when it runs out. Dubbing time and plans are managed in the DubMog apps and on get.dubmog.com, never inside ChatGPT.

Does the dub keep the timing of the original video?

Yes. Every line is placed where the speaker starts, synced to the speech itself, at natural speed, with the original sound kept quietly underneath. Lines are never stretched; a translation that runs longer than the original is spoken slightly faster, never above 1.10, and the video keeps its length.

How long are dubbed files kept?

Seven days, or until you ask ChatGPT to delete the dub. Deleting removes the dubbed file, the transcript and the source copy from DubMog's storage at once.
