These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and DubMog, operated by Octag AI LLC (“DubMog,” “we,” “us”), governing your use of the DubMog mobile app (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
01 Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) and able to form a binding contract to use the App. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.
02 License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the App except as permitted by law.
03 Your content and rights — please read
Do not use the App to infringe anyone’s copyright or other rights, including by capturing or dubbing content you are not permitted to use. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to the source material, and you agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and the terms of any service you use it alongside.
04 Subscriptions, energy packs, and billing
The App offers an auto-renewing Pro subscription (monthly or yearly) and one-time energy pack purchases. All purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account, and Apple’s terms apply.
- Auto-renewal. A Pro subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Managing or canceling. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Energy packs. Energy packs are one-time, consumable purchases that add usage to your account. Once delivered, they are non-refundable except where required by law or by Apple’s policies.
- Free usage and trials. We may offer a limited amount of free usage. Any free allowance is provided as-is and may change.
- Price changes. We may change prices; changes apply going forward and, for subscriptions, are subject to Apple’s notice requirements.
Refund requests for purchases are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store’s policies.
05 Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the App for any unlawful purpose; infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to our systems or providers; circumvent usage limits, subscriptions, or security; or use the App to harass, harm, or deceive others.
06 Third-party services and content
The App relies on third-party services, including Apple, Google (Firebase, the Gemini API, and AdMob), TMDB, and OpenSubtitles. Your use of those features may be subject to the third parties’ own terms, and we are not responsible for their services or content.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Subtitle data is provided by OpenSubtitles. Movie titles, posters, and subtitles are the property of their respective owners.
07 Translation accuracy and availability
DubMog produces machine translations in real time. Translations may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for important decisions, and should not be relied on for medical, legal, financial, safety, or other critical purposes. The App may be unavailable or interrupted, and features may change or be discontinued.
08 Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
09 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DubMog and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50.
10 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DubMog and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law — including any claim that material you translated infringed a third party’s rights.
11 Apple-specific terms
These Terms are between you and DubMog only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. To the extent there is any conflict between these Terms and Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, the latter governs only as to that conflict.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product-liability, legal/regulatory, or consumer-protection claims.
- Apple is not responsible for investigating or resolving any third-party intellectual-property claim relating to the App.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
12 Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that could harm us, other users, or our providers. You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from within it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
13 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State in which the operator of DubMog, Octag AI LLC, is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that State, unless applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
14 Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
